Fresh Air Apprenticeships


2008 - 2014


This apprenticeship provided a young maker with the opportunity to train under a master-craftsmen in their field. The first three apprenticeships focused on glass, working with Loco Glass in Cirencester before a second apprenticeship was established with the famous furniture maker and designer, Fred Baier. At the end of the apprenticeship, the winner had an opportunity to exhibit their work at the biennial Fresh Air sculpture show in Quennington and a piece of their work was auctioned off to provide part funding for the next apprenticeship.
